Plumbing and HVAC

We had one of those moments on Tuesday morning where we walked into the house, saw the progress being made and all of the sudden felt like we were falling behind. It's funny how things go in spurts. Last week, with all the rainy days we had, things didn't move so fast. The framers started to frame out the existing (or old) part of the house, but nothing dramatic. But, we walked in Tuesday and there are pipes running everywhere and the HVAC guy is placing vents, it can be surprising.

Don't get me wrong, it's great to see, but hey, there's all sorts of decisions still yet to be made or confirmed! We've even got an issue log started that we're tracking off of...that's the project managers coming out in us. :)

So, framing pics aren't very exciting, but here's the latest.

And here's the latest front shot:

So, that's were we're at. We looked at stone today. We're trying to figure out how to landscape, or find a landscaper. We're still struggling with LEED. And what else?... ah, too many minor things to list. Although, we did have a "fun" chat about how the extension of the fireplace wasn't quoted right. Seems like an argument about whether the architect drew the plans correct, or whether the mason made some assumptions he shouldn't have. At the end of the day, the fireplace will get built and then we'll figure out who pays! Ah, good times.
